Those last few days
just prior to the end of the patrol are certainly some the longest. It
becomes quite difficult to sleep as your mind begins to stir about the
excitement of, at one time was months, is now just hours away.
After nearly 70 days
under the water there is needless to say an amount of relief that overcomes
you when you at last pull into port. That first view of the sunlight and
sky brings you a renewed perspective on your future.
Spelling Out Relief
long Patrol there is now a few days to not only reflect on the past, but
even moreso to ponder the future. Here is Bruce taking that moment looking
as if to say "Whew, Wow, I can hardly believe it is almost over".
